    Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect at my massage?

A relaxation massage focuses on stress relief.

A remedial massage is more hands on addressing soft tissue pain and dysfunction. Techniques include deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cross fibre, and stretching (just to name a few). Your

qualified remedial massage therapist will adjust techniques to suit both your presenting problems and your comfort level.

Remember to always communicate with your therapist any discomfort during your massage.

    Your Massage Therapist

Massage therapists have extensive training that includes not only massage techniques but also a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology.

A massage therapist can also provide exercise and/or stretches.

When choosing a massage therapist, select a member of a recognized association such as the AMT or ANTA. They have formal, accredited qualifications and are committed to professional development. They are also eligible for health funds that provide rebates for massage.

    Cancellations

    Can’t make the appointment?

We know life gets busy sometimes and are happy for you to modify your booking up until 12 hours beforehand.

Cancellations of less than 12 hours notice or failing to attend an appointment will incur a fee of 50% of the consultation fee.

Repeat late cancellation or failing to attend appointment will require the full cost of consultation.

    Late arrivals

To enjoy the full duration of your session and to get the most out of your remedial massage experience, we generally recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early. That way you have time to discuss your treatment with the therapist and can get the full time for your treatment. If you arrive late we may not be able to extend your treatment session over the intended time as we often have consecutive bookings.
